August Fun Fest

The Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce is pleased to co-sponsor this event with Westmoreland County Parks & Recreation, National City, The Valley Independent and the Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners.

The Fun Fest is held at Cedar Creek Park, Rostraver Township and offers fun for children and adults. Event activities include carnival amusement rides, live music, dancing, car show & cruise, arts & crafts display, flea market, refreshment booths, and numerous other activities.

August Fun Fest 2009

The hottest day of the summer didn’t keep the crowd away from August Fun Fest on Sunday, August 9th at Cedar Creek Park. The GRC volunteers did a great job staffing three refreshment booths and a promotional booth throughout the day. The GRC extends our thanks and appreciation to Helen Estok for coordinating and scheduling the volunteers, to Bernie Zunic, Fun Fest Chair for facilitating the details, and to the many volunteers who gave their time throughout the day to make the event a success!

Through the sweltering heat a steady crowd of attendees enjoyed an afternoon of great activities, including amusement rides and games, entertainment, a craft show and car cruise, bingo, and 20 different refreshment booths. The event is held in partnership with Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation and is co-sponsored by the Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce, the Valley Independent, Johnny P’s Satellite, PNC and the Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners.
