Lynda Stewart has been working in the graphic design industry since 1996, specializing in the design & construction of websites. Although her training included all aspects of traditional print design, she landed an internship with an agency that was just beginning to dabble in commercial web development. There, she learned the basics of designing and building for the on-line environment.
During the first 10 years of her career, Lynda developed the Internet department of a downtown Pittsburgh marketing and advertising agency. Her primary responsibilities included the design, construction, and management of client websites, as well as direction of other department employees. It was also her job to stay on top of the latest technologies and trends in web design and development in order to keep clients up to date and to keep the department on the cutting edge.
In 2003, Lynda began doing freelance work under the name Stewart Creative as opportunities arose. She noticed that there were many small businesses and organizations that were in need of websites and various types of print collateral, but they could not afford the prices of a full agency.
As time went on, she realized that working with these types of clients proved to be more satisfying, and in 2006, Lynda made Stewart Creative her full-time professional focus.
Since then she has enjoyed working directly with clients, as well as partnering with other freelancers, small advertising businesses, and in-house design departments. She produces websites, logos, brochures, advertisements, stationery packages and other types of promotional pieces for wide range of markets & industries and a large client base covering all of Western Pennsylvania.
