Rostraver Shop-n-Save

Rostraver Shop-n-Save located in the Willowbrook Plaza, Rt., 51, Belle Vernon, opened for business in March 2000, as a replacement store for their location in Kmart Plaza. A family owned and operated business since 1973 when Bob and Betty Duritza started their first supermarket venture. They have are now retired, so their children Bob Jr., Jeff, Laura and Scott currently operate the stores. Several of Bob and Betty’s grandchildren also work in the family business. The Durtiza’s first opened the Rostraver Shop-n-Save in partnership with Super Valu (their wholesale supplier). In 2003 they purchased their portion of the business from Super Valu. The Duritza’s currently operate seven supermarkets in Southwestern Pennsylvania and one in Weirton, West Virginia.
Rostraver Shop-n-Save has an upscale feel, with brick exterior, ceramic tile floors and a pleasant, warm décor. The store is not too large, but large enough to give customers the offerings they want. The store is open 6:00am to 11:00pm, Monday – Saturday, and 7:00am to 10:00pm Sunday. Some of the special offerings you can find at Rostraver Shop-n-Save include an in-store bank (First National Bank of PA) and pharmacy (Hometown Pharmacy) as well as a floral department, bakery and catering offered from their hot foods department.
