A ribbon cutting on Thursday, December 12th marked the official opening and completion of the two-year construction project of Finley Road in Rostraver Township. Local, County and State elected officials were in attendance, in addition to Finley Road merchants, business owners and members of the Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce. After the official ribbon cutting, the group gathered at the BVA Multi Plex building on Finley Road for refreshments provided by BVA Federal Credit Union.

Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting, December, 2009:
Creative Ends Hair Salon

The Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting grand opening at Creative Ends Hair Salon, 521 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon.

Creative Ends is owned and operated by Gina Leadbitter. The salon is open Tuesday and Thursdays 8:00am to 8:00pm; Wednesday and Saturday, 8:00am to 2:00pm and Fridays 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting, August, 2009:
Anova Hospice & Palliative Care Services

Anova Hospice and Palliative Care Service celebrated their Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Tuesday, August 4th. Anova Hospice and Palliative Care Services located at 1580 Broad Avenue Ext., Belle Vernon is a small hometown hospice using local nursing staff and doctors to care for patients, and their families with compassion and respect.

Anova is owned by Nainesh Desai and had 10 employees including Executive Director Bonnie Hollland, RN., Officer Manager Sue Seman, Volunteer Coordinator Jeff Ricker, Medical Director Sean Conley, MD.

Anova provides help of a nurse, nurse’s aide, social worker, chaplain, and medical director. This interdisciplinary approach ensures that each patient is taken care of by a team of professionals. In addition to the team of seasoned professionals, Anova has a supportive group of volunteers who spend time with patients and offer respite care to the families.

Ribbon Cutting, May, 2009: The Good Ol’ Days Guesthouse

Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting festivities were recently held at The Good Ol’ Days Guesthouse, 914 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. The three day event was held over Memorial Day weekend and included house tours, refreshments, a yard sale and vintage fashion show.
